Welcome to our tutoring team! Our experienced tutors are WJEC specialists bring years of teaching expertise to the table, ensuring your child receives the best support possible. Many of them also serve as examiners, providing invaluable insights as your child deepens their understanding of the courses. Together, we are dedicated to fostering a positive and effective learning environment.
Biology Tutor
Ann is a Head of Biology and a Science Teacher with over 25 years of experience.
She teaches Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE and specialises in A level biology for the WJEC exam.
Having previously worked as examiner she is able to explain clearly to pupils the exam technique required and is an expert at getting pupils to understand difficult biological topics.

Biology Tutor
Catrina is a Biology Teacher with 8 years of classroom experience in international and UK schools. specialising in GCSE and A level biology.
Catrina has also taught in leading International schools in China and in Qatar. She has experience of teaching an array of different examination boards including the IGCSE, IB, IAL and Pre-IB.

Physics Tutor
Alun is a Head of Physics with 6 years teaching experience. He has a Masters degrees in Physics and in Education Leadership, has coached award-winning engineering projects with the EESW, and was a selected as the Welsh delegate for the 2023 Massachusetts Institute of technology program.

Chemistry Tutor
Rhodri is a Chemistry Specialist with 5 years teaching experience. He has taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics to KS3 and GCSE students and AS Chemistry.
He is an excellent teacher with the ability to clearly explain topics and motivate pupils.

Law and Politics
A qualified solicitor, Karen gained her teaching qualification in 2014. She teaches both Law and Government and Politics A levels and is an examiner for a leading exam board. She can also provide pupils following the GCSE Law course.
Karen has a wealth of experience in UCAS personal statement writing and is able to guide pupils through the application process.

Physics Tutor
Hywel is a physics teacher with 4 years experience of teaching KS3 science, GCSE and A level physics. He has 6 years industrial experience as an engineering officer in the Royal Navy, where he also instructed for a year.

History Tutor
Ffion is a History and Criminology teacher with 8 years experience. She's also a WJEC examiner for History and Criminology and has completed a Masters in Education.

Maths Tutor
Robert has been a maths teacher for 14 years and has worked as a GCSE examiner for WJEC and for the IGCSE with Edexcel. In addition to this he teaches A level maths.
He can offer lessons through the medium of either Welsh or English.
Previously a Head of department, Rob has a wealth of experience in preparing pupils for exams.

Rebecca Rees
Rebecca has 17 years teaching experience and is an Accredited Leading Practitioner. She is a Head of Pupil Progress and History teacher at a school in S She has been a History GCSE and A Level examiner for 15 years and currently examines 10 papers annually across 4 exam boards (WJEC, EDUQAS, AQA and OCR)

Janette Davies
Janette has 23 years experience teaching GCSE and A Level French with consistently excellent results. Her teaching encourages learners to look for connections between their mother tongue and other languages spoken, in order to deepen their knowledge of French. She has coached a number of children of native French speakers through their exams early.
Janette was internationally recognised with an impact award for providing access to pupils to wider language learning. She has also taught adult learners and is now retired from her previous role of Head of International Languages at a secondary school.

Gareth Edmondson
Gareth has over 25 years of teaching experience.
He is able to offer tutoring for:
